Three swimwear styles set to make a splash this summer

SPRING is here, and it’s time to blow up your inflatable flamingo again.

New swimwear styles arrive along with the warmer weather and Tigerlily designer Catherine Thorbecke says we’
re seeing three trends in particular: Sexy Bikinis Swimsuits, vintage two-pieces and bandeau bathing suits.

“There is no doubt about it — teeny bikinis are here to stay,” Catherine says.

that do not have fussy ties.

“We’re also very excited that vintage-inspired, soft underwire bikini bras and high-waisted bottoms are
making a resurgence.”

Tigerlily’s Voyage collection will get you in the swim spirit.

“Our Voyage collection pays homage to the free-spirited 1960s era and the glamorous lives of the jet-set,”
Catherine says.

“It is retro-inspired with a modern twist — premium, exclusive fabrications milled in France, Spain and
Italy, playful and unexpected styling, hints of lurex, beautiful embroidery detail and custom hardware.”

Catherine recommends opting for a cup fit bikini top if you’re sporting a curvy figure for extra comfort.
“For those who are blessed with curves, we are loving our new flattering C/D (cup) longline tri, sporty
Bianca bra and feminine Elle bra styles, all designed especially for a bigger bust,” she says.

For athletic figures, Catherine says bandeau styles give the illusion of a wider bust.

“For those with a slimmer, more athletic figure, we suggest you try our new straight-across Eden bikini bra
style or our new sporty, high legline Elle pant, named after the queen of the bikini herself — Elle
Macpherson,” Catherine says.

Take that as a tip from an expert — brief straps that sit higher on the hips give the illusion of longer
legs.

For those feeling a little self conscious ahead of bikini weather, Catherine says confidence is key no matter
what you’re dressed in.

“I have always loved this quote: ‘Skin is sexy. Body shapes are sexy. It’s not the Sexy Bikinis Swimsuits. If a woman is
sexy, she is sexy, no matter what she is wearing’ (from) Angela Missoni,” Catherine says.

“While having a beautiful, great-fitting Sexy Bikinis Swimsuits is essential, looking good in a swimsuit is all about having
the right attitude.

“Hold your head up, walk proud and enjoy your time in the sunshine.”
